The heads are permanently affixed to a thick, solid steel shaft, improving the strength of the head / handle joint. The knurled chrome handles are ergonomically contoured to fit comfortably in the palm of the user. Handle diameter ranges from 25 mm at 2.5 lb to 35 mm at 120 lb.
